Account Information: When you register, we collect:

- Gender (optional)
- Password (stored in encrypted form using bcrypt)
Palm Images: When you use our reading service, you capture photos of your palm. These images are:
- Sent directly to our AI service for analysis
- NOT stored on our servers permanently
- Processed in real-time and discarded after analysis
- Never shared with third parties for any purpose
Usage Data: We collect reading counts per day to enforce plan limits. Payment transaction records are stored for billing purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and personalize our palm reading service
- To process payments and manage your subscription plan
- To send OTP verification emails for account security
- To enforce daily reading limits based on your plan
- To improve our service and AI reading quality
- To send important account notifications (not marketing spam)
4. Palm Images & AI Processing
HastVani uses Groq AI (Llama 4 Scout Vision) and Google Gemini AI to analyze your palm images. Please note:
- Palm photos are transmitted securely via HTTPS
- Images are processed by AI and immediately discarded — we do not store palm photos
- AI providers (Groq, Google) have their own privacy policies governing data processing
- Palm readings are stored only as text results, not as images
5. Payment Information
HastVani uses PayU India for payment processing. We do not store your card details, UPI IDs, or banking information. All payment data is handled directly by PayU on their secure servers.
- We store only: transaction ID, plan purchased, amount, and payment status
- Your financial data is protected by PayU's PCI-DSS compliance
- PayU's privacy policy applies to all payment transactions
6. Data Security
- All data transmitted via HTTPS (SSL encryption)
- Passwords stored using bcrypt hashing — never in plain text
- Session tokens are 64-character cryptographically random strings
- Database access is restricted to authorized server processes only
- OTP codes expire within 15 minutes and are deleted after use
7. Data Sharing
We do NOT sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties except:
- AI Providers: Groq and Google Gemini receive palm images for analysis only
- PayU: Payment processor receives billing information
- Legal Requirements: If required by Indian law or court order
8. Your Rights
Under Indian IT Act 2000 and applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account

HastVani uses minimal cookies for:
- hv_session: Secure session token to keep you logged in (30-day expiry)
- PHPSESSID: Standard PHP session cookie
We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

HastVani is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
